Certificates and Associates Degrees
NMSU Carlsbad offers one-year certificate and two-year associate degree
programs and some distance education online degrees. In addition, we offer courses that apply toward certain transfer
programs. Refer to the lists below for detailed information.
NOTE: Microsoft Word is required to access the following certificate and
degree check sheets.
Certificates are issued in-house
at NMSUC. Effective with the Fall 2001 Semester, an application for certificate
must be completed and submitted along with a $10 application fee to the Student
Services Office by the deadline date published in the Schedule of Classes for
the semester. Be sure to let one of the Student Services
staff know when you will be completing the last course(s) to complete
the certificate.
Degrees are issued through NMSU Las Cruces. Before applying for a degree, a degree
audit must be
completed in Student Services Office. After this has been done and indicates the
requirements have been or will be met, an application for degree must be completed
and submitted along with a $25 application fee by
the deadline date published in the Schedule of Classes for the semester in which
you expect to complete the last course(s) for the degree.
Transfer programs listed below can be started at NMSUC by completing
some of the pre-requisite courses, then have to be completed at another
college/university (as listed on the following programs). Some programs can be
completed online. Check sheets for these
programs are available in Student Services Office and Counseling & Student
Development Center.
The Course
Transfer Guide (for New Mexico Colleges/Universities) lists courses that are
guaranteed to transfer to any other public college or university in New Mexico
toward fulfillment of the receiving institution's lower division general
education requirements.
