Appeals

Federal regulations require that the Financial Aid Office monitor satisfactory academic progress.  You may appeal to the Financial Aid Appeals Committee for reinstatement of some financial aid awards.  If an appeal is approved, PELL grants will be reinstated if the student is eligible to receive those funds.  Federal regulations require cancellation of remaining Stafford Loan disbursements when you withdraw from the university, therefore, reapplication for student loans is required and dependent on your revised period of enrollment and satisfactory academic progress standing after the withdrawal.  Reinstatement of all other aid is based upon available funds and is unlikely. 

To appeal:  Call 234-9226 or stop by the Financial Aid Office, Room 111 to visit with your Financial Aid Advisor.  You may also get the form online by clicking on the links below.  Allow up to two weeks for a decision.  Note: Decisions are based upon individual circumstances.  An appeal does not guarantee an approval!
