The Manufacturing Sector Development Program (MSDP) at NMSU-Carlsbad offers hands-on classes, certificates, and two-year associate in applied science (AAS) degrees in:

Manufacturing Technology Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

Drafting and Graphics Technology (AutoCAD)

Welding Technology
Facilities Maintenance Technology Electronic Technology

Each of the above technologies include options that enable the student to concentrate on academic studies and hands-on training to develop marketable skills, which are essential requirements for skilled technicians and supervisors.

The program's goals and objectives are to provide technically skilled, competent, and well-educated employees for entry-level technician positions, and to upgrade the professional skills of experienced employees in the construction, manufacturing and mining industries.  In addition, the program also delivers company sponsored customized training to support the needs of these industries.
